This entry is about a weekend getaway to Nashville, Tennessee. It has been a long fall. Too many changes at the school where I teach and too few weekends off for my park ranger husband so a weekend anywhere but here is in order.

Unfortunately, the only weekend available to us is a busy one for Nashville. Most of the fancy hotels were booked. The Country Music Awards presentation is the day before we arrive and the Titans are in town for a game against the Bears. No worries, the Holiday Inn Express had room for us as well as the General Jackson Showboat.
